A YOUNG MOM THAT COUNTS HER BLESSINGS
During a crazy year of readjustment, Leah took advantage of the opportunity to work from home and move her and her precious little girl from Tampa to West Palm Beach so she could be closer to her brothers and sisters. It’s never easy to pick up and move, and 2020 has been a challenging year for so many. But none more challenging than for a single mom. The truth is most people, including those you love and are closest to, cannot understand the struggles or sacrifices that must be made daily.
Leah was thrilled to join Hearts for Moms for many reasons, but the biggest one is because of the community of people that understand her challenges, her emotions, her thought processes and her longing for more for her daughter. Honestly, Leah shows an integrity and uncompromising ability to put the needs of her daughter first. Leah is working toward her GED and has goals to continue with higher education. This is for herself and also to set an example for her daughter. We have come alongside Leah to offer support and resources as well. One of Leah’s biggest financial goals this year was setting aside money and saving for a car since she never owned one. She had been using public transportation, but it became very difficult in the Palm Beach area. Through the generous and amazing donors in partnership with Hearts for Moms, she has been able to get a car and use her savings to pay for insurance and additional auto expenses. Not having reliable transportation can be a major setback & struggle for many young moms in Palm Beach County. But because of amazing donors like you, both Leah and her daughter have been blessed beyond measure and given freedom to succeed!

This gift was more than a physical gift of transportation, it was a gift of hope & love being the hands and feet of Jesus. Because of this and many other resources plus the support she has received this year, she is ready and excited to set new goals for 2021. We are looking forward to watching Leah achieve her goals and continue to set new ones.
