SERVING THE NEEDS OF A MOM AND HER CHILD
When Lovely entered into the program, she was unsure, fearful, and lacked confidence which led to a high stress and low structured environment. Her son who was 3-years-old then, was shy and not speaking. Lovely desired to be an Register Nurse but that dream seemed distant and far away as she works two jobs. It was hard for her to see how she could pursue such a goal. With the help of her mentor and Program Director, she was able to build up her confidence within her self to become the mom she needed to be as well as the woman that God purposed her to be. The program was able to connect her son with a speech therapist that helped her son Since Lovely has been in the program, she is now going to college and will be obtaining a degree as a Registered Nurse. Her son is speaking and praying for meals in the class. HFM has helped her build confidence within herself. She has established structure in her life as well as her son's. She now believes that she can accomplish anything that she desires.
"HFM has not only helped me financially, but they have also helped me become a better mom, a better person, and to make the right decisions for me and my 5-year-old son. Because of HFM, I have become more aware of what will be the best for our future. I am now back in school for my Associate’s degree.
